Got a plaintive request here... with all the major news sites clogged up, this GBS thread is giving me more news than any other conduit I have right now. I'm not American, I've never been to New York City, and yet I am frightened by this whole situation. If the world's most powerful nation could not prevent this, we are doomed. If they do nothing to retaliate, I fear more and more of this will happen.

I do agree, though, that American people should remain calm and not start any hate campaign against any country/race. The few are not the same as the whole.
